FAQs
A powder is applied to metal using electrostatic properties, applying the powder through an air gun. The coating is then cured in a specially designed oven for 20 to 45 minutes.
Powder coating outperforms spray painting in durability and resistance to deterioration, especially when applied in thicker layers. It provides a glossy finish with thinner applications, while spray painting offers a smoother finish.
Powder coating is not suitable for existing paint, due to its high curing temperature of 400°F, which can cause melting or adverse reactions. Before the powder coating process, it’s advisable to remove any existing paint or coatings for a smooth and long-lasting finish.
